probably a big chunky chrono which is where it works best IMHO.

i hope black is the new steel and not a 10 minute wonder smile although it seems to have been started by heuer et al in the late 60's and is now very much en vogue.

i've seen a lot of vintage chrono's, lots of Heuer PVD's but this is, i think, the first Breitling chrono-matic i've seen in PVD.

of course they are now doing 'DLC' diamond like coating which they claim to be harder than pvd and scratch proof. not the best name though. it could have been called  'stuff wot we put on that is as tough as diamonds' that is, at least, more expainatory.

I'm researching and trying to get as much information as I can, they are very very rare and even die hard Breitling experts are scratching their heads on this one, found another owner so I'm not alone , could be one of the rarest Breitlings and frankly im... 

i've got the breitling book...

i've got the breitling book by same author as Omega designs. i'll have a look through at their models to see if there are any more pvd's. i has an 809 1966 cosmonaute, an 1806 1969 chrono-matic and a 2001 spatiographe. the spatiographe is nice as its got ...
