i'm desperately saving funds to buy my first PVD watch
probably a big chunky chrono which is where it works best IMHO.
i hope black is the new steel and not a 10 minute wonder 
although it seems to have been started by heuer et al in the late 60's and is now very much en vogue.
i've seen a lot of vintage chrono's, lots of Heuer PVD's but this is, i think, the first Breitling chrono-matic i've seen in PVD.
of course they are now doing 'DLC' diamond like coating which they claim to be harder than pvd and scratch proof. not the best name though. it could have been called 'stuff wot we put on that is as tough as diamonds' that is, at least, more expainatory.
