And some more coming from a pp colector, that's deep and heavy man
Tell you another of my heavy and deep story:
My late mother was a workaholic. She worked from 6.30am until 5pm, went home, showered and ate, and monitored the houseworks, and continued to work again until 11pm. Monday to Friday, and on most weekends for more than 25 years. And, boy, you don't know the meaning of "value of a product" (not stingy) until you met her. She wouldn't throw anything, use toothpaste until it's really really empty, cut used paper and used the back side for record keeping, etc. She always said: "I did what I did cause my parents were poor, you were lucky your parents have money. Don't waste anything."
But when she got the first cancer attack, she changed completely. She started buying high end fashions, mostly Versace and Moschino. When I complained that she's wearing things too loud and she should buy Armani or Ferragamo instead, she just smiled her sweet, enigmatic smile and didn't reply back.
Later I think I understand the meaning behind the smile:
1. Son, I didn't ask the money from you to enjoy my life. It's MY hard earned money, MY sweat and 25 years of hard work.
2. Son, I didn't steal to enjoy my taste, why should I be embarrass?
3. Son, this is my taste, pls bear with it.
4. Son, I forgot to enjoy my life, may I enjoy the rest of my life MY WAY?
5, Son, I wasn't embarrass when the principal called me to the school cause you took a peep at the girls' underwear, why were you embarrass for my wearing a colorful dress?
Then she started to buy me those Versace, Moschino, etc. Maybe she thought that if she couldn't change me, at least she could bribed me . Guess, now I wear what I wear because of her. Why should I be ashamed? I can and dare to do it. Do other people dare? Why should I care about other people's opinions when I didn't ask their money to buy the outfits? It's just colors, and not a crime! So what if I mismatched a color, the most people laugh at me. It's OK, smile or laugh with the crowd then. She taught me to be ME, and not to live in other people's footsteps. So my motto is: I make my own trend, I do NOT follow the trend.
