Hi Benjamin,
A really lovely watch and it would be great to hear it one day.
What caught my eye was the similarity of the dial, hands and basic movement architecture to a much simpler pocket chronograph that I inherited from my Great Grandfather. I don’t have any closeups of my dial to show you at the moment, but the similarities are strong. Here are some links to my previous posts on this pocket watch:
The movement is not engraved with the maker, so I have no information apart from the hallmarks on the case that indicates Birmingham 1883. Perhaps they shared a dial maker or E. H. Jaccard & Cie produced movements for other companies? I assume this happened frequently in the 19th Century.
Thanks again and kind regards,
Andrew
