Would you buy one?

Seriously, with all the responses and talks generated on the Titanic-DNA watches, RJ has, I think succeeded with its campaign as far as marketing is concerned! I would say most, if not all the feedback I read are NEGATIVE, for a mere reason that money is being made out of the victims or near victims. However, no one has said anything about the money being made from the silver screen and all other Titanic-related items sold, for a profit. What about money generated from auctions on items salvaged from the wreck?

I do not own a Titanic-DNA yet, but am seriously thinking of getting an extreme rusted steel watch, soon. I think of it as an opportunity to "own" a piece of history and I do like the look of the bezel with the rusted steel.

Would any of you consider getting one and like me, see that as an opportunity to own a piece of history? Do you think it'll be a collector's watch in the making?

Meanwhile, the debate continues..............

Cheers!

Are they for real, or is this some post-modern joke

On the watch world. Bernards post reminded me that although I've seen plenty of press releases, with the usual icky CAD renderings, I've never once seen a picture of a real, in the flesh, watch. Maybe RJ is just a joke on all of us...to be broadcast on th...

For me, it's a total waste of energy and of talent. First of all, I like the idea of the Cabestan and I like the ideas of J.F.Ruchonnet. Even if sometimes, his ideas are too ambitious, he's a fascinating guy. But now, let's talk about Romain Jérome. I hav...

Firstly, the Cabestan - Vianney's greatest creation to date. Then, Romaine Jérome - the Sex Pistols of horology. Finally, the product itself: a crusty old cash register of a watch...nevertheless, a marvel of creative engineering; a completely new way to d...
