i've said in the last post on the MIH that if i could only keep 1 watch from my collection this would be the 1 as it does everything you need in such a simple and classic way.
you could have just emailed them to get one, but getting a friend to buy it and waiting for it does heighten the anticipation.
this is the first time since the watch was first issued that they have had any unsold. this is probably a sign of the recession although the price is very good for what you get.
one question does come to mind.
the question is this...is Paul Gerber going to continue making 100 twice a year, cut the numbers down so that there isnt an MIH stock mountain or could this be the beginning of the end of the MIH?
if would be a real shame if they stopped making it, but no one makes things no one wants. it seems that the majority of owners of the MIH are people that are already WIS and appreciate its qualities, something the non horologically minded public dont.
if there is someone in this forum with good links to Embassy, Paul Gerber or Ludwig Oeschlin (Magnuss Bosse comes to mind) who could broach the subject with them it would be greatly appreciated by me and probably by a large number of other forum members.
just a thought
