TAG Heuer 2011 Singapore Limited Edition - Commemorating the Fourth SingaporeGP

Aug 29, 2011,13:00 PM

TAG Heuer continues for their fourth year with the commemorative editions for the SingaporeGP. The previous three editions scored very well, and from the last year, 2010, TAG Heuer issued a lady version accompanying the gentleman's piece.

For 2011, the same effort is repeated with TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage and Formula 1 Lady Ceramic Chronograph (Singapore Limited Edition).

A snapshot of previous 3 editions ...

The shape is back to round from last year square Monaco, but the colour theme remains, consistent from first edition - British Racing Green with the 2011 Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 Automatic Chronograph. The design is inspired by a prototype of the 1945 Carrera.

Total production is limited to 250 pieces.

41 mm polished steel case. Rated to 100m water-resistance.

Double-sided anti-reflective coating.  Dial is black with “flinqué” effect.

3 sub-counters – chronograph minute at 12H, chronograph hour at 6H, running second at 9H

The texture of this edition is gloss-finishing.  Even the Arabic hour-markers and the hour & minute & small-second hands are polished.

Polished pushers and signed crown.

Green chronograph second hand, green sub-counter hands

Black alligator strap with racing-green stitching with steel folding clasp.

Sapphire caseback with numbered edition and the 'Singapore LE'  engraved on.

Neatly decorated Calibre 6 automatic chronograph was also used in the 2009 Singapore Limited Edition too.

The racing Lady Edition was started in 2010 with a  "Time-Only" Formula 1 Lady Ceramic with black diamonds.

This year, the 2011 Lady's Formula 1 Lady Ceramic Chronograph with Black Diamonds version has graduated to a more interesting monochromatic Chronograph piece with ceramic bezel and black diamonds to signify the night race.
The production quantity is 200 pieces.

41mm steel case with polished ceramic bezel (and links on the bracelet) mounted with 60 black diamonds with diameter of 1.20mm – Total: 0.44carats

Hour-markers are by 12 black diamond  with diameter of 1.20mm – Total: 0.9 carats

Both the hour and minute hands, and also the doted hour-markers are luminescent.

Alternate steel and ceramic bracelet with steel “butterfly” folding clasp.

Containing inside is a quartz movement.  Serialised number edition is engraved onto the solid caseback.

After seeing four rounds of the Singapore Limited Editions, which edition you prefer?

For me, the 2009 edition still looks good.

I agree with you, the 2009 Calibre is probably the best looking yet.

.. the touch of bright green adds nice feel. From the color combo perspective, this is not bad at all. Sure, 2009 looks very nice, too Ken
