Macros are the only way to see the LIGHT

Jun 28, 2015,01:14 AM

I used to write on the best italian forum, where i was a Mod too.

I gave it up because i wanted to be free to say what i think, for instance that today (maybe since the 90s) patek does not provide the same quality it has been reached in one century.

But many patek's owners do not accept critics because they spent a bunch of money and don't want their investments could lose value.
I called them not watch lovers, but money lovers. smile

I know the forum's policy about prices, i respect it, but i think it's a mistake, because probably the price tag is the only relevant matter, for a newbie.
the only difference between a man and a boy is the price of his toys: true.

The watch industry is also a billionaire industry, so i think a forum should show facts, and macros are undoubtful proof, they show the truth.
Netiquette is important, but let's be serious, people pretend to respect and appreciate each other, and only a sincere aficionado can appreciate a watch, from a cheap seiko to a GF.

Is it boastful to show some watches?
No, i think it's worse  let some watches sealed in their plastic boxes, as some good parmigiano reggiano 36 months old.

3 Macromania "to have a future 2015 Masterpiece below $5,000"

Macromania is more than big pictures. Answers to why I like Dufour, who remains a personal and family friend since 1998 or so. I recognise his skilled work, just like a collector will recognise a Bertone or a PininFarina. It's not the brand. For work of D...

Hey. I apologize. But I remember the way those things as I do. The drunken lips is sheer true Bernard style...it still happens. I drank till my life put brakes on it. I still stand people up, even Greubel and Max....arggh. Life!!!!

He is one of the best watch “journalists” out there. If people know him personally, he is genius and could solve age old problems with a one liner. But tall poppies usually don’t grow tall. With genius, talent, wealth, comes a growing number of hardships ...
