This is my first entry into UN. I've always wanted to try one but just never pulled the trigger. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. I've had this for about a week now and before I bought it I was a little unsure about the oval shape of the case. Now that I'm used to it, I've come to the conclusion that I really like this piece a lot. Since I haven't seen much written about this model I thought I'd do a little review.
The box is about what you would expect, nice but nothing memorable.
The dial color is fantastic so are the hands. I've never owned a palladium watch, its heavy like platinum and very very shinny. I've never seen anything like it. I would have preferred different markers but overall I really like the look. Its definately an aquired taste!
As you can see, not only is the shape of the case oval but the crystal is curved inwards which I'm sure isn't easy to do.
One of UN's signature marks are there crowns, I've always liked how they've done them. I wish more companies did this kind of detailing with there crowns.
The movement decoration is very nice but for a watch at this price level it probably should be equipt with an in-house movement not a modified ETA.
The strap and deployant are top notch, the deployant is palladium too.
Here are some wrist shots.
As I said earlier, this piece has really grown on me since I've had it. Palladium is more half the price of gold and the watch carries a modified ETA movement so I don't know how UN has come to a $21,900 retail price on this piece. Its a shame because I think if the retail price wasn't so high more people may have interest in it. With that being said I would highly recommend this watch pre-owned! I hope this review was helpful.
