A very very very nice event!

It was a very nice event and it's great to see you Jed!  We've missed each other for a couple years.

Really great to see so many PuristSPro members from so far away, a couple flew in from the East Coast specifically to attend this dinner and were flying out the immediate next day!  Maybe next year we should have an award for longest distance traveled for a casual watch dinner!

Really some very special pieces and even more special people...
1.  A very special Jaeger-LeCoultre chronograph.  One that I never thought I would like, but was SUPERB when you saw it in person.
2.  A beautiful bark-finished Vacheron Constantin watch.  Oh I like that watch a lot...
3.  Learned something new about the first PuristSPro member I met.
4.  Jaeger-LeCoultre 1833 Ultra Thin Platinum Watch (My favorite from SIHH 2013)
5.  An uber rare Girard Perregaux with 1/6 seconds foudroyante chronograph
6.  Chocolat Frog aka "The Boobie Watch."
7.  Very special Tourbillon by Thomas Prescher.
8.  Of course met the Chopard PuristSPro chronograph for the first time.
9.  Overall, a lot of very special people and special watches.

Great event with great down-to-earth normal people.

Southern California Holiday GTG Last Night

 By: CaliforniaJed : December 7th, 2014-18:47
I'll admit it: I was a little preoccupied at the Southern California Holiday GTG last night. ;-) I managed to take a decent picture only of this surprise guest -- the Chopard L.U.C 1963 Chronograph PuristS Edition, taken right off the wrist of Mr. Scheufe...

Hoping someone got a few, Nicolas!

We were in the back room of the restaurant and lighting was so dark, well, let's just say even I looked good! :-) Best, CaliforniaJed

It did look quite becoming on you.

I'm sure waiting for yours will now be much harder. In addition to the great people, there were many spectacular watches at the event. The photographic environment was challenging (think total solar eclipse); nevertheless, I hope someone got pictures. The...

Great to see you there!

I should have gotten a picture of your VC, and your IWC, and many others!

I only snapped a couple pictures that night

Room was very dark so all photos needed flash. In any case, here was the menu for the night. We reserved the semi-private Cosmopolitan Room at Mastro's South Coast Plaza. The pork chop looked to be the winner for the night. I had the petite filet which wa...

Come on, you guys!

We want to see more watches! ;) Best Blomman

I didn't even bring my camera! . . .

. . . a good thing, too, as the lighting was as bad as the company was good ;-) . . .

Thanks for organizing, Anthony!

Four of us put our iPhone flashlights to work so Jed could get a good picture! I think Linda got a picture of that event... Cazalea ...

Purists Xmas parties seem to always conflict with the local families Xmas party and this is the 3rd year!!! looks like a fantastic time and some familiar faces (watches)... maybe next year! Happy Holidays Purists!!!

Inevitable choice

ocwatching It looks like this phenomenon will be inevitable. PuristSPro and family End-of-Year parties will tend to clash. Much as we like to see all our PuristS' friends, I think you will need to chose family every time... ;) MTF

We missed you too!

There were some really interesting watches that you missed, but more importantly, is the people whom you missed. Next time!
