....I have a 1675 GMT. I bought it about 5 years ago. I put it on my wrist and within a day it was losing 4-5 minutes per day. I took it back to the dealer who told me it had JUST been serviced but he would get it looked at. It came back and I was told that it was keeping perfect time. I put it on my wrist. Within a day, it was losing 5 minutes a day. My wife put it on....it worked perfectly. I put it on.....lost 5 mins a day. At that point my wife declared..."Some watches just prefer women"
Its now her watch. In 5 years....its kept perfect time.
....or any other "machinery" for that matter. Given, it may sound like a very puerile or perhaps even incongruous question on this forum, however, I, for one, do believe that watches like other "objects", cars come to mind, have a "Soul", they do live. He...
I am not sure about a soul, but my watches all contain memories... memories of occasions, events, fun times and some no so. The watch makes me remember these every time they are selected from the box and gives me (hopefully) that extra smile on my face wh...
have memory, it seems to remember when to sleep, that's for sure. It is also very disciplined, 15 minutes and only during the night:) Thank you for your comments. Cheers Francois
.. are mirrors or projection fields of OUR " souls, with good and bad luck, with emotions & memories, with stories heard or re-lived... And some others probably.. Why that is the case, I don't know, but I consider it typically human to create or handle th...
I had it demagnetised, although it didn't need it as when on the "timing apparatus" it was behaving extremely well. The strange bit is that during the day and as long as I am awake the watch performs and behaves perfectly well, I don't necessarily need to...
This "dreamer" watch will NEVER be sold, it will be passed on to some "dreamer" who will look after it until the time comes to find another "dreamer" to pass it on to and.............ad vitam aeternam! The osmosis cannot be disturbed, the dream MUST conti...
inner malice of inanimate objects :) Like when cars got broken when you are in middle of nowhere or washing machine leaked when it's full of dirty laundry and another pile of dirty laundry is in room...or just pure Murphy law that bread & butter alway...
My watch hasn't got a drop of inner malice, maybe it is a little mischievous but certainly not malicious:) My theory goes like that: as the watch only loses exactly 15 minutes while I am asleep and as I believe that during my "laying down" I sleep for mor...
I know it sounds weird but that's the way it is. It is so unbelievable that I have developed another theory which makes more sense: I am, after all a sleepwalker. I fall asleep then wake up during the night, pick up the watch and I set it 15 minutes behin...
Perhaps it is on you, the owner to decide, crown up, crown down at night. I propose you keep this watch out of the safe for a month, and self regulate it at night. Maybe the missing part is you wear it while you sleep, speaking of dreams... However 15 min...
Thank you Kev for your suggestions. I have in fact already put in practice some of your ideas. For example last Saturday I wore it during my "siesta" which lasted about 3 hours in the afternoon and guess what? Yes Sir, it did lose about 8 minutes. I have ...
