Horological Meandering: I like the reasoning of duality...

but how clean do we make the cut. Maybe we make it deep and concentrate on the daily wearer first. Then after a period of time and reflection go for that grail. The longer I have been in this hobby the more my tastes have changed and the more my collection has evolved. I think my one lesson is that

Horological Meandering: I might have a mark XII going on the...

....chopping block soon if I pursue ending my collection ;-) And another 3 different IWCs with JLC movements!!!! Truely a lovely watch. Perfect- no, but certainly a pleasure to own. I have looked at the explorer and it is one of many watches that are on the list- truly it covers all bases.

Horological Meandering: The one watch question...

....if you had to take all the knowledge you have gained from your time in this hobby and distill it down to one watch that suited your life style which watch would it be and why? I think I'm at a point in this hobby where my returns are not justifying my inputs- a point where the collecting and acc

Horological Meandering: My thoughts...

....I think this is like a leather jacket in a military cut- no doubt that its not an original, but acceptable because its turned the point of being classical, which is the ultimate compliment to JLC (and the ultimate goal is still to have the original). Horological Meandering: Excellent photos ad the watch has...

....its own charm, especially on the strap. I think breitling is a love it / hate it brand. I get phases where I love it and wouldn't be surprised if one popped into my collection some day, even though none are on the hit list.

Horological Meandering: I think this whole e-mail series and episode was well

recorded and presented. I for one am sorry for you hardship, but its great to see that we can dscuss the good and the bad of all watches. I agreed with you on the stainless steel / gold deployant, makes no sense.

Horological Meandering: From my favourite company and a shame...

....to think that little of the style filtered down to lesser models. I think that IWC has lost its pocketwatch roots somewhat and that saddens me. Probably because it is not a commerically viable product. Still the new Jones movement stepped somewhat in the right direction, then the aquatimer took
