Here is a watch I had since my visit to Lange Uhren, before it was a part of Richemont...and how young I was.
Dolly suited her name so well.
The watch was a present, and I never knew how much it cost, until I bought one used for $80,000 in 2014 Dec.
Still, worth it..as I was too upset by Gunther's death to wear the watch, it sits pristine at home, I have now a spare to use.
There was a world, a time, when watches were cheap...inexpensive. I often wanted to return this gift as I felt I didn't deserve it, when I found out no one else got one.
I was far from, and probably still am, being influential.
But I guess Gunther thought so. I guess I never shared the secrets of this industry....because I feel I am not good enough.
