Not at all...
Mar 06, 2015,18:55 PM
I hope everyone here are not too like minded; that would make discussions awfully boring!
Do y'all allow different points of view?
Of course different points of view are allowed! Heck, you should even post them: how else will we identify targets?
Are newbies allowed to ask beginner questions?
Only newbies are allowed to ask beginner questions. The good news is that almost everyone's a newbie, even those who have been coming here for years. Except Nico ('Amanico', aka 'Vlad'). Who isn't. But you'll get to that soon enough.
What about fanboys? Will I have to worry about getting dogpiled and gangbanged just because I don't like a particular model from a favorite brand?
C'mon, everyone's a fanboy (or fangirl; or fanperson) of one kind or another! Most are just too polite or too cunning to show it. Come to think of it, some are not so cunning; just be careful not to mention Greubel Forsey or Seiko during business hours in Asia, though, and you should be okay. Given the sly way that you worked Lambo, Ferrari and Porsche into your post (in the same sentence, no less!) you'll do fine. By the way, have you heard of a brand called Audemars Piguet ('AP')?
(p.s. 'ganbanged'? - would that be a problem for you?).
I'll take some time to wander around...it looks like a pretty cool place!
So cool it's almost absolute Kelvin down here! Think Armani-clad (or unclad) bespoke-perfumed Kristin Scott-Thomas behind the wheel of a carbon edition Aston Vanquish Volante lapping the 'Ring in the snow at dawn listening to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue at full volume whilst scoffing down Salon and reciting Baudelaire in fluent French to Uma Thurman riding shotgun - that cool (with apologies to Clarkson).
By the way, know anyone downunder? A certain Wandering Purist might be visiting later this month...
Know anyone that might want to meet up? Count on it!
Replies by email, please. Expect an email (by the way, if you don't want to seem like a newbie forever, we call email 'PM' here).
Enjoy your 'wandering' and be sure to visit this forum again - "don't be a stranger", as they say out West.
Cheers,
pplater.
